After military service in Vietnam, Jerel launched his career as an advertising creative director. His creative work has garnered dozens of regional and national creative awards, including some of the advertising profession's most coveted prizes for creative excellence. Jerel has honed his filmmaking craft through working for a wide assortment of household names, including the Washington Post, CBS, VISA, MasterCard, First USA, and PeopleSoft.

On the business side, Jerel also claims numerous distinctions, including the founding and managing of two successful advertising agencies.

Today, through Biographica, Jerel lends his cinematic and narrative gifts to the personal film documentary, providing individuals and organizations a remarkable, singular answer to "Who will tell my story?"
